About the Artist:  Audrey Swarz

Meeting Richard was such a treat during the Artist's United show Feb. of 2001.
What a wonderful person he is!

Collectors recognize Audrey Swarz for her sculpted one-of-a-kind dolls.  No newcomer to this alluring world of doll making, she began making dolls as gifts for family members and friends 15 years ago.  From word of her talents, interested collectors emerged and her business grew.  Her first dolls were sculpted from Super Sculpey.  With no formal training, all of her knowledge came from years of dedication and desire to perfect the art of sculpting and creating a unique style of her own.  Like all true artists, Audrey has always been aware of a passionate need to express herself creatively.
The techniques used in each piece are highly evolved.  From a mere lump of clay emerges a face that speaks and eyes that twinkle.  The bodies are made from cloth with wire armatures.  Beards and wigs are angora mohair which the artist cleans, dyes and individually designs for each piece.  The clothing is a combination of old and new fabric depending on what develops during the detailing process.  Audrey hand knits the sweaters and designs and tailors all of the clothing, which completes the unique individual characteristics of her work.  Each piece being a one-of-a-kind, sizes and prices vary depending on the piece.
Audrey's work has touched the hearts of collectors across the country.  From every piece she creates emerges an inner warmth and love that she alone is known for.
Upon purchasing one of Audrey's creations, you can be secure in the knowledge that your selection is absolutely unique and like all fine art, it's value is certain to appreciate for years to come.
Handcrafted artistry, old-world tradition and investment quality.  These are the hallmarks of Audrey's creations.  Each piece is inspired for you to cherish.  May it bring happiness and joy to all whose lives it may touch.

Unfortunately my Grey Hound, Mandy, to my left in the above picture is no longer with us, she passed away at age 4 with heart problems.  I love looking at this picture and remembering how sweet and wonderful she was.
New members to our family and born on July 4th, is Wesley.
He is such a character.  Being a Great Dane and weighing 170 lbs., he has no idea of his size.  Of course he wants to be a lap dog!!!
And now there is Sasha, she loves Wesley and she is now almost as large.  What a lover she is.  She is now 8 months old and a big puppy!
